Honestly, I also thought about buying a five color Niv-Mizzet deck. The rainbow shell is just amazing and I love to play as many colors as possible. So this deck is definitely something for people with color in their lives. In the following section, I will focus on some nice cards and spicy things in these 75. Of course, I will not check every card or interaction detail. You will forgive me. I hope so. Let‘s focus on the deck‘s bad ass:

Hell yeah! I always wanted to pull a Niv-Mizzet Reborn during War of the Sparks drafts in my first booster pack. Unfortunately, it never happened. However, Niv-Mizzet is a powerhouse! Five (different) mana for a 6/6 flyer, that‘s pretty sweet. Nevertheless, the Mizzet‘s big upside is its enters the battlefield ability. By checking the top ten cards, there will always be a nice hit. I can testify to this, as I play 5C Niv-Mizzet in EDH (you will find the deck description here, in German). In the EDH version, Niv-Mizzet Reborn shines if one‘s able to abuse his ability. For example, this works very well with Helm of the Host. I see that this is not an option for Modern, a format one has to be very fast. Though, how to abuse Niv‘s ability? Here we have some options:

In my opinion, Felidar Guardian is spicy in this deck. Especially in combination with flickering Niv-Mizzet. However, there is also Saheeli Rai. The lady can copy Niv but one of the Nivs will die due to legendary rulings. Anyway, Felidar and Saheeli are an infinte combo by themeselves. So maybe there is no need to abuse Niv if these two best friends find their ways onto the battlefield.

Niv-Mizzet is not the only cool thing in this deck. Let‘s have a look at a new addition coming from Ikoria:

Companion was way better weeks before the restrictions kicked in. Though, they are still playable, as I see many pilots playing Lurrus of the Dream-Den or Yorion, Sky Nomad. In every game, there are some turns one has nothing to play in hand. So why not getting a free card? Anyway, Jegantha seems like a perfect fit to this five color deck, even though the five mana slot is already covered by other good cards such as Niv-Mizzet and the following key card:

Having any problems with the opponent’s deck? Bring to Light is the perfect answer. The card has a great versatility and transforms into a Swiss army knife. In addition, it can also find Niv-Mizzet. This is a big deal! However, one thing I like the most of this deck is that there is actually only a pro forma sideboard. Why this? Look at this card:

Bring to Light gives access to Glittering Wish and this card is directly connecting your main 60 to the sideboard. This is so amazing! Having the possibility to play with the selection of 75 cards is fantastic. I definitely like the idea of including two copies of Glittering Wish in the first 60 – in order to access 75. This definitely makes me wanna try to play these 75.
